Raw File Format
Raw file are an uncompressed image format that preserves more information than a common JPEG.
What the RAW file format does is skip the final adjustments (Sharpening, exposure compensation, color balances, contras and other mores) forcing the camera to save only the data taken directly from the image sensor and the RAW file Format is also lossless, meaning the final image is not compresses at all either. This results in a higher-quality result, free of any artifacts that the JPEG format introduces.
White Balance
